Syfy’s Krypton: A Thrilling Prequel to Superman’s Legacy Premiering in 2018

“The blood of House El will always bind us together,” proclaims Seyg-El in the teaser trailer for Syfy’s highly anticipated series Krypton.

Set two generations before the destruction of Superman’s home planet, Krypton explores the untold story of the Man of Steel’s grandfather. The series follows the young Seyg-El, who must navigate a world where his family’s House of El has been ostracized and shamed. Determined to restore his family’s honor, Seyg-El embarks on a journey to save Krypton from descending into chaos.

Starring Cameron Cuffe (The Halcyon), Georgina Campbell (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword), Ian McElhinney (Game of Thrones), Elliot Cowan (Da Vinci’s Demons), and Ann Ogbomo (Wonder Woman), the series promises a compelling blend of drama, action, and rich world-building.

Krypton is based on iconic DC characters and comes from executive producer David S. Goyer (Man of Steel, The Dark Knight Trilogy) with Damian Kindler (Sleepy Hollow) serving as executive producer and showrunner.
